Reflecting on the year of 2022 brings one of my favorite recap blog posts… Looking at which blog posts were ranked the top blog posts of 2022 from throughout the year!
A few years ago, I started the tradition of sharing a top blog post of the year recap, and I love it. The Kara Evans Photographer blog is my online journal of photos & creativity, stories, personal anecdotes, and more. It’s home for me and my business, and it’s an honor that you are here reading the words I’m writing. Thank you for your continued encouragement and for reading my blog week after week, post after post.

#5 – Independence Grove Wedding in Libertyville, Illinois | Ashley & John

#3 – The BRIX on the Fox Wedding in Carpentersville, Illinois | Andrea + Zach

#2 – Destination Wedding at Sandals Ochi in Jamaica | Kenzie & Ross
It’s no surprise that Ross and Kenzie’s destination wedding at Sandals Ochi in Jamaica was a favorite! At the beginning of February, Kyle and I had the honor of traveling to Jamaica to document Kenzie and Ross’s wedding day. We not only documented their wedding day but also got to spend a few extra days with the couple and their closest family and friends on the beach. Their loved ones welcomed us in from the start. By the end of the week, we truly felt like we were part of the family. This destination wedding day was the best note to start our 2022 wedding season on, that’s for sure… Read more!
#1 – Post House Ballroom Wedding in Dixon, Illinois | Ben & Michael
And the top blog post of 2022 is… Ben and Michael’s wedding at the Post House Ballroom in Dixon, IL! You might remember these two from their Chicago engagement session last winter, which we all loved. I met Ben and Michael through one of our 2023 couples, Caroline and Cody – just the best way to connect with couples! I always tell our couples that it’s the highest compliment when they share my work with others and refer us to loved ones… Makes my heart happy! As soon as I met Ben and Michael over FaceTime after exchanging emails, we hit it off from the start. They’re kind, fun, and incredible clients turned friends.
