Andrea and Zach’s wedding day at The BRIX is here!
There aren’t enough words to describe the love we have for Andrea & Zach. There truly isn’t a more fun-loving, compassionate couple that loves as deeply as these two do. We’re thrilled to share more about their wedding day on the blog!
From The Couple
We met at the co-op we were both working at. Zach came on pretty strong after about a week of knowing each other. He would walk by my office and throw me a wink, do something to make me laugh, or ask me out. I finally caved and said yes about a month later. I think I knew he was the one a couple of different times. First, I was gone for training one day. He called me and was like “Where were you at today? It was boring without you” and then we talked my whole hour drive home. The second was when we were just hanging out and he asked me to dance in the kitchen, I fell HARD. His humor has always had me since our first date. He’s always felt like home to me.
Zach says he knew when he first met me in the turkey shed, our old seed shed at the co-op, love at first site (eye roll, lol). His real answer… The whole first summer we dated. Playing basketball, racing in and out of cornfields see who could take tissue samples the quickest, when he helped me move and had to pick up my Packer jersey even though he is a Bears fan, and dancing in the turkey shed after one of our dates to name a few. He says “everything stood still for a while”.
Last fall, we got to stay home for a weekend, which was very rare. We are always on the road visiting friends and family on the weekends. Zach had to work that morning and then he was going to come home and we would go out to lunch and buzz around for the day. As we were getting ready to leave, his boss called him and said he needed to get a tractor moved before we headed out of town.
I was about to take off in the truck to meet him back at the farm, but Zach flagged me down and said he needed help because the tractor was dead. He had me go up in the tractor and “look back at a plug.” I turned around and he had a box in his pocket. I got out of the tractor, and he asked me to be his forever! His boss and boss’s daughter were hiding in the shed taking pictures and a video! Then Zach surprised me again when our parents met us at the local bar to celebrate!
The Wedding Day
Andrea and Zach’s wedding day started with getting ready at the hotel before heading to the venue, The BRIX, where the fun really began. The rest of the day was all in one place – which everyone loved – and was a dream. From the venue itself to the terracotta & warm tones to the fresh flowers paired with dried flowers to the most fun-loving couple and all the details in between. This wedding day at The BRIX is one we won’t soon forget.
I loved the wedding planning advice Andrea shared with me… It’s so cliche, but all that matters is you and your spouse. Whether it’s deciding what your perfect day looks like, who’s marrying you, the details, money spent, etc. At the end of the day, you’re getting to spend the rest of your life with your person and the little details of the day truly don’t matter. Having your heart in the right place really has made the planning process much more enjoyable!
There truly aren’t two more fun-loving people in the world (ask anyone that knows them), and we are forever grateful for this pair. They’re always full of smiles and laughs and know exactly how to have a good time (ask every single wedding guest). Andrea & Zach’s wedding day at The BRIX was the best day we could have imagined for them – surrounded by their loved ones and all the smiles & belly laughs until your stomach hurts.
Some of our favorite parts of Andrea & Zach’s wedding day…
- The family heirlooms from Andrea’s late grandmas incorporated into the wedding details
- Seeing Andrea’s sisters melt over her beauty as a bride
- Capturing the emotion Andrea & Zach felt for one another as they met at the altar
- The joy in the couple’s eyes while Zach’s grandfather read scripture during their ceremony
- Listening to their handwritten vows and smiling at their story and where it all began
- Belly laughing when Andrea forgot which hand to put Zach’s wedding band on – ceremony nerves, ha!
- Being there to see and document their guests feeling a part of Andrea & Zach’s day
- Feeling like we were part of the family – the best feeling for any vendor & friend of the couple
- Documenting the most heartfelt toasts from Andrea’s dad and four sisters to Zach’s brother… So sweet!
- Sneaking out for sunset photos and photographing the couple as that just married bliss truly set in
- The most laughs shared by a couple on a wedding day award goes to these two
At the end of this day, Andrea and Zach brought all the sunshine to their rainy wedding day. And hey, the sun even surprised us at sunset! I shared with Andrea & Zach that I thought the sun shining through late on their wedding day was a sign, so we jumped on the moment and snuck outside The BRIX for a few newlywed photos. Such sweet moments to document these newlyweds so deeply in love. Cheers to this AMAZING couple!
Andrea & Zach – You did it, welcome to married life! We adore you both and couldn’t have imagined a more perfect wedding day for you two. Many, many more beautiful days are ahead, but we know you’ll always cherish your beautiful wedding day together! XO

Absolutely stunning.
[…] & Paul! These two found my work through their wedding venue, The BRIX. We loved photographing Andrea and Zach’s wedding at The BRIX earlier this year and can’t wait to be back next year for Alyssa and Paul! Alyssa […]
