In love with this Kankakee River State Park engagement session!
Meet Alyssa & Paul! These two found my work through their wedding venue, The BRIX. We loved photographing Andrea and Zach’s wedding at The BRIX earlier this year and can’t wait to be back next year for Alyssa and Paul! Alyssa is also a small business owner (check out Butter Bee Organics), so we hit it off right from the start.
Alyssa and Paul’s story started in college. They both attended Illinois State University and met because they lived in the same building. They’ve been dating for almost seven years and can’t picture life without each other. This past summer, Paul proposed to Alyssa after a spiritual retreat. So sweet!
On the day of their engagement session, the weather was gorgeous! We met at the Kankakee River State Park for their session – one of my favorite locations with so many beautiful spots! The weather was in the upper 50s outside, and the sun was shining! The wind has been rough on the leaves this fall, but we still found some of the prettiest fall colors.
I love meeting these two in person for the first time, showing them some of my favorite spots around the Kankakee River State Park, and meeting their brand new puppy, Moose! He kind of stole the show, ha! Alyssa and Paul told me at the start of their engagement session that they would need lots of direction in photos… They were naturals in front of the camera, that’s for sure!
Alyssa and Paul are looking forward to having a good time with the people they love on their wedding day. So looking forward to their September 2023 wedding day!
