Happy dancing, more engagement photos are coming to the blog today! Love, love, love this fall Meadowbrook Park engagement session!
Meet Katelynn and Jamey! Late last year, I met these two through none other than a past bride AND my favorites at Hudson Farm in Urbana. Katelynn and Jamey found my work through their venue (and sweet Hannah and Steve!), and we instantly clicked! I love my wedding vendor friends and sharing in wedding days with them season after season.
Katelynn and Jamey are high school sweethearts – my heart! They met through a mutual friend in high school when Jamey was a sophomore and Katelynn was a freshman. Last November, they were taking photos for Jamey’s mom’s Christmas card, and she asked Katelynn to take a look at the photos on the camera. As they were looking at the photos, they came across one with two pumpkins – one with a ring painted on it and one that said “Marry me?”. Then, Katelynn turned around to find Jamey down on one knee with an engagement ring in his hand. Love this surprise proposal! Now, they’re planning their micro wedding day (thanks a lot, COVID!) for December 2020 – just 4 days shy of their 10 year dating anniversary!
Over the past couple of months, Katelynn and I have been planning the details of their fall engagement photos. We were thankful for no rain during their session – all the stars finally aligned and these two have professional photos! We started the session in the downtown Champaign area for more of an urban vibe – LOVE those fall vines and all the ivy. Then, we moved to Meadowbrook Park for more photos in their second outfit… Gosh, I love this hidden gem! You just can’t beat Meadowbrook Park engagement photos.
This couple + those fall colors = heart eyes!
All in all, I adore these two and loved photographing their engagement session! It truly fills my cup up to spend this time with my sweet couples. Cannot wait for their winter wedding this December!!
