Happy November! It’s the start of a new month which means we’re recapping the last month of life in our neck of the woods 🙂
The month of October marks my birthday, so I always hope lots of cake will be involved. And this October did not disappoint! We started the month with a wedding-free weekend and a trip to the pumpkin patch with the kiddos. Then, we enjoyed a Sunday at home with our pups.
After the quiet weekend, October busy season was in full swing. The first full week of the new month brought several beautiful sessions, a doubleheader wedding weekend, a weekend session, AND getting a new piano for our home. Busy, busy but all good things! I played piano as a young girl, and I’m so excited that we have a piano in our home now so that Kyle and I can play and the nieces and nephews can enjoy it, too.
By then, we were already mid-October and into my birthday week! We enjoyed an evening with friends watching The Bachelorette premiere, and the next day was my birthday. On my birthday, I was surprised (and spoiled) by loved ones with not one, not two, but THREE birthday cakes. My loved ones know the way to my heart!
Once the birthday celebrations wrapped up, it was back to reality with another wedding weekend and fall sessions. And amidst it all we made a few little updates throughout the house and updated furniture in my office – because why not?! As the month drew to a close, we photographed our last wedding day of October AND I photographed eleven fall mini sessions during my annual fall mini session date. It was a huge success! To close out the month, we had a sleepover with our niece Sofia and spent Halloween with family.
And that’s a wrap – October was good to us! praying for a good, peaceful month ahead. 💛
