#5 – Dusty Blue, Greenery, & Gold Wedding Day at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaverville, Illinois | Courtney + Todd
These two have known each other since they were kids – growing up in a small town together. Todd’s mom is a teacher and tutored Courtney and her older brother when they were growing up. During the time her brother was getting his lesson, she would play with Todd and his three younger brothers. Then, when these two were in middle school they started to “date”. Courtney ended up breaking up with Todd when they were young. He will never let Courtney forget how she broke his heart back then. Courtney always tells Todd it worked out in the end!… Read more!
#4 – Iroquois County Farm Engagement Session in Gilman, Illinois | Kara + Dakota
These two met through a mutual friend at Dakota’s house and started dating over four years ago. Dakota told me he knew Kara was the one the night they met, and Kara knew several months into dating him. Over Labor Day weekend this year, these two made a trip to one of their favorite places, Carpenter Creek Winery. Little did Kara know – Dakota had been there a few days prior to making a plan and she was in for a surprise! They enjoyed a wine tasting and chose a bottle of wine to share outside on the patio. Dakota “went to the truck to get the puppy” but came back empty-handed. Then, he made a toast to a “long, happy life together” and got down on one knee. Then, their families arrived and celebrated with them… Read more!

#2 – Boho Wedding Day at Hamilton’s on the Lake in Jacksonville, Illinois | Lauren + Alex
From the bride – We have known each other for years, crossing paths at many small-town parties, but never actually talking to each other. It wasn’t until my best friend Kelsey, his friend Brady, and I were out road-tripping one night that our paths truly crossed. After that night, we settled on a friendship and spent the summer boating, attending fairs, and having fun with our new intermingled friend group. As time went on, I couldn’t deny that I did develop feelings for him (which I think was pretty mutual!), but neither of us wanted to admit it and risk ruining our friendship. It wasn’t until St. Patrick’s day that following spring that Alex finally asked me out on a date. We were out with a big group of friends, and I honestly thought he was being sarcastic and blew him off laughing. It wasn’t until the next day that he texted me saying “he was serious about that date” that I realized this was our opportunity to give things a shot. So we went out on that first date, and honestly we have been completely inseparable since… Read more!
#1 Dusty Rose & Gold Wedding at the Barn at Hornbaker Gardens in Princeton, Illinois | Jennifer + Brett
From the bride – It all started on April 20, 2013. I was a Freshman at Illinois State University and Brett was a Junior at the University of Illinois. I went to the Alpha Gamma Rho Formal with my friend Cole from high school. Brett and Cole happened to be in the same fraternity, and Cole introduced the two of us that evening. The second we met we instantly hit it off. The following morning I had a Facebook message from Brett picking right up where we left off. That summer, Brett had an internship that happened to be close to my hometown, and Brett would visit frequently throughout the summer... Read more!
