This winter engagement session at the Wrigley Building and along the Chicago skyline was one for the books!
Meet Ben and Michael! I met these two this past September after their friends and one of our 2023 couples, Caroline and Cody, shared my work with them. I love it!
Ben and Michael’s love story started three years ago when they met online. They shared with me that they spend all of their time together, complement each other in different areas of their personalities, and share many things in common. Over this past Labor Day Weekend, Ben proposed to Michael at Navy Pier. Now, they call Chicago home and are planning their September 2022 wedding day together!
On the day of their winter engagement session, we met at the Wrigley Building to start their session. Chicago is beautiful all throughout the year, but it’s truly someplace special in the wintertime and over the holidays. The Wrigley Building is one of my favorite photo spots in the city, and it was the perfect starting place for their session. From there, we wandered around Michigan Avenue and Upper Wacker Drive for more photos of this couple. They were rockstars in the cold weather!
Then, they changed outfits and drove out to the skyline. For their second location, Ben and Michael met me at North Avenue Beach for some iconic Chicago skyline photos. Love, love, love these photos of this couple! Their playful love captured along the skyline is my favorite part of this session.
All throughout the session, Ben, Michael, and I were laughing, joking, telling story after story, and getting to know each other better. Their two-hour engagement session truly flew by. To know this couple and to be trusted in documenting these moments in their story together is a true honor.
