It’s here… Cheers to the new year! 

I can hardly believe it – 2017! As the new year begins, I find myself feeling a similar excitement that is common at the beginning of the year for me, but this year, I feel more excitement than I ever have!

Over the past few days, I’ve seen posts floating around Facebook and Instagram asking, “if you had to choose one word for the new year, what would it be?” This is the word that you will always come back to – the word that will be your guide and focus for the entire year. Well, in 2016 I did not specifically choose “a word”, but when I look back, I think that the word JOY became my word early on in the year. It was my first full-time year of business, and my focus was on finding JOY through the process and new seasons of life and business.

This year, in 2017 I am intentionally choosing the word SERVE. This year I always want to focus on how I serve others personally and professionally. Showing my sincerity, heart, and love will allow me to serve my husband, family, and all of the people in my life through my God given gifts. I have a job and life that allows me to simply “be” with so many incredible people – sharing stories, our hearts, and so much more… I feel as though I am called to be a light in the world through SERVING others in 2017 and every day in the future!

There’s no better way to say it than – I am excited! This new year and fresh start will allow me to grow both personally and professionally, and I can’t wait to see where this year’s journey takes me!
