My first session of 2017 was one for the books! The people and the winter sunset light were truly incredible… Time and time again, I am reminded of these blessings.

Amanda and Caleb (and Teddy) are probably familiar faces to you by now… I’ve photographed their beach proposal, engagement session, wedding, family photos, and now their maternity photos. It is truly surreal that these two are going to be parents in a matter of weeks!

When I take a step back and look at life from the outside looking in, it’s so very humbling to see my dear friends thriving in this world – happy, successful, and soon-to-be parents. Of course we all strive for happiness and success in our own ways, but when I see my loved ones like Amanda and Caleb following their passions and building their family, my heart is happy for their journey. It doesn’t get any better than that! I am proud of these two, and I cannot wait to snuggle little miss Charlee!

It’s been amazing to see your relationship grow over the past 5 years, and I am honored to document these milestones in your life! And yes, I held back tears during your session AND most definitely cried while editing these photos… It’s a beautiful privilege to have this unique perspective as your photographer and most importantly, friend.
