#5 – Modern Romantic Wedding at the Biltwell Event Center in Indianapolis, IN | Jori + Matt
From the bride – Matt and I met 4 years ago almost to date after connecting on Bumble. We say we found each other right when we were meant to from day one. We both always knew this was our forever love story. Nothing ever seemed forced or rushed, everything just fell into place. I felt at home with Matt and felt nothing but unconditional love. We moved in together 6 months later, and included one of Matt’s best friends! No one saw us fall in love with each other quite like Ross did! We have always loved cooking together, sunsets on golf courses, surrounding ourselves with our best friends, and most of all, being in our home as a family with our fur baby, Colbie! Matt took me to my favorite place on earth – the lake house – to propose last year. He arranged for a relaxing weekend up there, and then a Ray LaMontagne concert back downtown Sunday night. Little did I know, we were hardly in the door at the lake house before I felt Matt’s beating harder than normal… Read more!
#4 – Summer Iroquois County Engagement Photos in Clifton, Illinois | Holly + Kolton
I loved meeting up with Holly and Kolton for their Iroquois County engagement photos! These two have been together for over eight years! They met and started dating in high school, and after some ups and downs over the early years, they’ve grown together into a wonderful relationship. Earlier this spring, Kolton proposed to Holly with the most beautiful custom ring. I mean, wait until you see this gem. At the end of June, I met Holly and Kolton in L’Erable to start their engagement photos at – you guessed it – The Longbranch. Holly works weekends at the country bar, so it was only fitting to take a few photos there to start! Plus, the locals were entertained by our photo-taking… Read more!
#3 – Summer Kankakee River Anniversary Photos in Kankakee, Illinois | Lyndsey + Drew
I’m still gushing over this summer Kankakee River anniversary session! Lyndsey and Drew were one of my 2018 couples! See their engagement photos here and wedding photos here. I adore these two. They have hearts of gold, are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, and they know how to have fun! Drew returned this spring from a military deployment, so I was happy to plan a session with these two for this summer – a celebration of his homecoming AND to celebrate their second wedding anniversary! I know what a military deployment is like as a newlywed couple, and I’m so proud of these two!… Read more!
#2 – Elements at Water Street Winter Wedding in Downtown Naperville, Illinois | Brittany + Nic
From the bride – We have mutual friends that introduced us through work. Nic and I first met when he came to run a cheerleading clinic when I was the head coach at Hinsdale Central High School. Nic and I were in previous relationships when we first met. About a year later, we reconnected when we were both single and the rest is history! Nic completely surprised me with the entire proposal and plans after. He told me we were going out to dinner with some of his co-workers. I went thinking it was a regular night out with his friends. When we arrived, the hostess escorted us to the winery’s outdoor patio – it was completely decorated and he romanticly got on one knee before I even figured out what was going on. After I said “yes” he took me to meet up with my parents at a different restaurant. Turns out that my close friends and family were waiting there to surprise me and celebrate the proposal with us (I thought just my parents would be there)… Read more!
#1 – Snowy Winter Champaign Country Club Wedding Day in Champaign, Illinois | Kara + Dakota
From the bride – Dakota and I met at his house about 5 years before the proposal. Then, this past August, we went to one of our favorite places, Carpenter Creek Cellars. Dakota went there a few days before to plan it all out… We went inside to do a wine tasting and chose a bottle of wine to share under the grain bin on the patio. He went to the truck to grab our puppy, to sit outside with us and came back empty-handed. He made a toast to a “long, happy life together” and got down on one knee. At the same time, the workers came out to snag a few pictures of the whole event. Then, he had our families meet us there about an hour later to celebrate!… Read more!
