I have had the joy of photographing Megan and Lynn throughout many milestones in their story together. Last spring, they were in front of my camera for their newborn session, and this spring we got to celebrate their son’s one-year milestone session. It truly does not get any sweeter than watching a family grow like this through the years.
Camden is such a cool little guy! He is so smiley, so sweet, and he made his entire session such a joy to photograph. Sessions like this are why I love what I do, getting to slow down and document these fleeting stages of babyhood in a simple, timeless way at the studio in downtown Kankakee.
One thing I love talking about with one-year milestone sessions is timing. Some families choose to schedule their session just before their little one turns one, while others prefer to wait until after the birthday so their baby is officially one. There is no right or wrong answer here. It really comes down to what feels best for your family and your season of life. Either way, we will celebrate your little one in a way that feels fun and meaningful. Cake, balloons, and a little celebration at the end of the session are always welcome, and such a sweet way to mark this big milestone.
