Today, June 7th, we celebrate our wedding anniversary!
It’s somewhat hard to believe it’s been SEVEN YEARS already! And every anniversary, I find myself saying I can’t believe it’s been “this many” years…
Our wedding day was a cloudy 70-something degree day – June 7, 2014. What I don’t remember? I don’t remember stressing over the weather or wedding week jitters. Here’s what I do remember – I remember a handful of moments from our wedding day vividly. I remember seeing my husband for the first time at the altar, becoming his wife, and celebrating our young love. We chose each other long before that June day as high school sweethearts. But on that June day that we got married, we committed to continue to choose each other forever and have continued to choose one another every day since. It’s not always easy throughout days and seasons and no marriage is perfect, but we choose each other and share a deep love and respect for one another.
It’s an honor to call Kyle my husband and life partner. Marriage is so amazing and fun when you get to do it with your best friend!
People sometimes ask us if we’re newlyweds ourselves (especially while we’re documenting wedding days!), and I always love that question. My answer? We’ll always be newlyweds as long we want to be and choose to love one another like newlyweds. I always wanna be newlyweds!
Kyle, I love you and will always choose you – in the big moments and the tiniest of moments. You’re my best friend in the world, and I adore this life with you. You keep me on my toes, daily, have more passion than anyone else in my life, and always know how to make me laugh even when I’m being stubborn. It’s always been you and will always be you, babe. Happy anniversary my love!
