It’s June 7th, so that means we’re celebrating our wedding anniversary today!
We’ve been married eight years today, wow! It feels like just yesterday that we got married but at the same time it feels like more than eight years…
Our wedding day was a cloudy 70-something degree day – June 7, 2014. What I don’t remember? I don’t remember stressing over the weather, wedding week jitters, last-minute to-do’s, or hair and makeup. Here’s what I do remember – I remember a handful of moments from our wedding day vividly. I remember seeing my husband for the first time at the altar, becoming his wife, and celebrating our young love. We chose each other long before that June day as high school sweethearts. But on that June day that we got married, we committed to continue to choose each other forever and have continued to choose one another every day since. It’s not always easy throughout days and seasons and no marriage is perfect, but we choose each other and share a deep love and respect for one another.
I love Kyle with every ounce of my being. We were just kids when we met – we’ve grown up together in life and love, and he’s so much a part of me that it feels like he’s always been here with me. He’s my match for talking as much as I do and always has a way of making me smile. His passion, integrity, faith, and love for others make this life together even better. Gosh, do I feel loved by him.
It’s an honor to call Kyle my husband and life partner. Marriage is incredible when you get to do it with your best friend. Love you most, babe!
Here’s a fun little look back at our last year of marriage! Thankful for eight years married and all the years of life and love together to come.
