Friends, meet Nadia and Brendan!

I met these two for the very first time in person (outside of a FaceTime date!) at their downtown Chicago engagement session. These two found my work online late last summer, and it’s times like this that I am forever thankful for a Google search that leads me to couples like Nadia and Brendan and the story that they share.

Nadia and Brendan both grew up in Georgia, but it wasn’t until years later that they connected at trivia on a Tuesday night in Chicago. And the proposal was a dream! Brendan surprised Nadia while they were on vacation in Mexico – their first big trip together – and asked her to marry him on the first night they were there. Cue the champagne, balcony proposal, and tears. They spent the week of their trip in bliss and excitement!

Over the past few months, I have loved getting to know these two better, and while their engagement session was originally supposed to take place at the start of the winter, a very icy day downtown forced us to reschedule. But you know what? I’m thankful that everything worked out because even while their early March engagement session around the Kinzie Street Bridge and Chicago Riverwalk was FREEZING cold, it was so very worth it. It’s a joy to share this couple and these photos with you!
