Today, I am beyond excited to share this incredible couple + wedding day with you! The day and all of it’s people coming together brought so much joy all around, so I promise I am going to try to share the story and beauty of it all as best as I can…
Last summer after Lacey + Jake’s wedding day, Lindsey and I connected. Lacey and Lindsey are both teachers and spent time working together several years ago, so when Lacey started sharing her wedding photos online, we all became interconnected. And as soon as I started talking with Lindsey after her inquiry, I knew this bubbly, sweet bride and her groom were incredibly kind souls that I would be thankful to get to know. All of this makes me even more thankful for my relationship with Lacey and Jake and for their help connecting me to another wonderful bride and groom!
I love Lindsey and Jordan’s love story… Nearly two and a half years ago, these two met on Match.com after Lindsey had only been on the site for a day! She told me it hardly felt like she was ever on the site! As soon as these two met, their future together started to unfold and they never looked back. Then, last June, Lindsey and Jordan went on a picnic, enjoyed lunch, and Jordan played their song “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” by Elvis. They’d made a pact that whenever this song – their song – played they would stop everything and slow dance. So, of course, they started dancing in the middle of their picnic. When the song finished playing, Jordan gave Lindsey a book that said all of the things he loved about her, and inside the book he carved a spot where the engagement ring was and asked her to marry him. This moment in their story is an absolutely magical, intimate moment! And the wedding planning began…
As a wedding photographer, I truly enjoy exploring new venues and places. So, of course, yet another reason why Lindsey and Jordan’s wedding day was wonderful was because they shared not one, but two, new places with me! In the months after meeting these two + preparing for their wedding day, I was looking forward to exploring these venues, spending the day with Lindsey, Jordan, and their favorite people, and working with their wedding coordinator Michelle with La’Di Events! The day started at The Abbey Resort on Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. The luxury resort was the perfect start to Lindsey and Jordan’s wedding day, and the property was gorgeous and fitting for pre-ceremony photos. The breeze from the lake + happiness in the air over Memorial Day weekend surrounded us at the resort.
Then, we moved over to the Starline Factory in Harvard, Illinois where the ceremony and reception were being held. Even with hearing so many wonderful things about Starline Factory from Lindsey and researching it myself, Kyle and I were blown away when we arrived at the venue. It is magnificent, full of character, and a true gem in Chicagoland. And – Lindsey and Jordan’s pink + gold and shabby chic wedding style fit perfectly with the venue. Goodness, wait until you finish reading and see the detail of the venue in these photos! The golds, pinks, AMAZING florals, and character of the venue all came together perfectly.
Lindsey and Jordan are joyful. Their joy is BIG. And their joy is contagious! I don’t think anyone could be around these two without feeling their love for their people and their joy for life. These two are heartfelt and emotional people, and they share those emotions and sentiments with their people. The tears, the laughter, and the happiness throughout this day – all because of these two people – was undeniably beautiful and heartwarming. There’s nothing like it, and I truly don’t believe I have ever met two people so fitting for one another and so genuinely excited to experience little and big life moments together! Lindsey and Jordan are meant to be together, and they thank God for one another each day…
All throughout this wedding day, I was in awe of the display of Lindsey and Jordan’s love and marriage before God, their friends, and their families. The joyful tears in their ceremony and first hugs with loved ones following the ceremony were beautiful, and their tears and laughter throughout the evening were evident of their kind of love. Their love for each other, and for their people, was everywhere.
And at the end of this day, Kyle and I left with a full hearts. Lindsey and Jordan not only love one another immensely, but they love their people so unconditionally. They are a true testament to experiencing love, new marriage, and having a fun + playful relationship. Documenting their first married day was an honor, and we are thankful to call these two friends.
Lindsey + Jordan… I hope married life is treating you well! I cannot wait to see your family blossom, and maybe see photos of a new puppy soon! Your joy and love and affection are contagious. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with Kyle and me! Lots of love to you two!
