Eeeek… This family is SO adorable! Crazy excited to share their session with you today!

When Jamie reached out to me about scheduling a summer family session, I was so honored! I am photographing her best friend’s wedding this summer, so it is so fun to connect to other clients in this way. Soon after, we started planning!

After a chilly few days in May + a reschedule, we were thankful for a gorgeous evening with overcast sunset skies in Bourbonnais for this session. It was a warm evening, and Miss Sophie was a doll! I kept telling Jamie and Andrew that I have never had such an easy session with a ten month old. She was happy, silly, and sweet all throughout the photos! I definitely think the warm weather + new place helped to keep Sophie comfortable and happy. Plus, her favorite people were right there with her, so this session was a dream!

I loved working with this family for their lifestyle family session. They were all in for my lifestyle approach to shooting the session and documenting genuine interactions between the family. Little Sophie gave silly smiles, waves, and kisses to mom and dad throughout these moments. These are some of my favorite photos that I take because it is simply sweet to document a family simply being themselves together.
