Meet Jennifer and Brett! These two are getting married next year, and a few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing them!
I loved connecting with Jennifer through two of my other brides, Cari and Chelsea – so, so fun! This couple’s story goes back to college where they met at a fraternity formal. That night, a friend introduced these two, and they’ve been together since!
A little over a year ago, it was a rainy Sunday when Brett, a farmer, was rained out of the fields during harvest. Brett had had the ring for a few months and that rainy day finally felt perfect to propose. After a few changes to Brett’s plans for a proposal at one of their old barns, Brett came home and completely surprised Jennifer with a proposal in their home!
It was so fun to meet these two for their December engagement session in Chicagoland. We started the session in downtown Frankfort to get a little variety with their photos and photograph them around various fun textures… I love these urban photos with these two! Then, we traveled down the road to Hickory Creek Forest Preserve for the second half of their session. Even though it was a super chilly (barely 30-something degree) day, it was truly beautiful, and we were thankful for the sun!
I love these photos – especially those last photos in the open field… Heart eyes! So excited for their wedding day next year!
