Yay, Jess and Tommy’s fall wedding day Epiphany Farms Estate is hitting the blog today!
Jessica and Tommy are two of the most down-to-earth people. They’re kind, so caring for those around them, and the perfect match for each other. Their Epiphany Farms Estate wedding day was a day we won’t soon forget!
From the Couple
We met in college at Illinois Wesleyan. We were both very involved in the Greek life system at IWU. While Tommy was Vice President on the Greek programming board, Jess was president of her sorority. Tommy planned a lot of events and had to get in touch with the different presidents, and Jess ended up ignoring a couple of his emails which made him follow up more.
Through that, we had a lot of contact and ended up at the same events so we got to know each other. Jess was also the desk aide for the business department and as an accounting/econ major, Tommy spent a lot of time in the building and stopped by the desk every day. Eventually, we realized how much we had in common and how much we liked each other. Now, here we are almost 6 years later.
For the proposal, Tommy researched good sushi places (he hates sushi so this was a big deal!). We both had to work on Saturday since it was our busy season and then rushed home and got ready for dinner. We had a great dinner, and once we got back in the apartment, Tommy proposed! Then we spent the next 2 hours calling our family and friends.
The Wedding Day
Jess and Tommy shared a beautiful early fall wedding day in and around Bloomington, IL. When we arrived, the girls were finishing getting ready before we tried to beat the rain for first look and photos. Hair and makeup were running ahead of schedule (amen!), and we all loved how the timing was working alongside Jessica’s personality. Her loved ones tell me that she’s always early to everything! Everyone was in excited spirits for the day ahead!
We traveled to Illinois Wesleyan for photos with the couple and their wedding party. I loved that Jess and Tommy chose to incorporate Illinois Wesleyan into their wedding day. It’s where they met and a place that many of their wedding party are connected to. It was perfect!
The rain tried to stop us, but Jess and Tommy trusted Kyle and me as we found the cutest little pockets of campus for photos. It all worked out and before we knew it, the rain stopped and we were traveling to the venue.
Jess and Tommy chose Epiphany Farms Estate for their wedding ceremony and reception. Even though the ceremony had to move indoors, the show went on! After Jess and Tommy said “I do” surrounded by their family and friends, it was time to celebrate!
We loved photographing the evening of toasts, dancing, and fun. Time after time, weddings always bring us great joy to see people gathered and celebrating love!
Jess & Tommy – Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! We love you guys and hope to photograph your milestones together for many years to come!
