Fall is changing to winter so quickly this year… It never seems to snow this early in the year! I can’t imagine the winter that is about to come, but I did love a little snow at a recent Springfield, Illinois engagement session.

Elizabeth and Zach found By Kara through a mutual friend and spring 2015 bride and groom of mine. I was thrilled when Liz contacted me. We hit it off from the start and began planning the photography side of their wedding day and planning their engagement photography session.

Their engagement session started at Washington Park, and then we moved to downtown Springfield. It was a chilly November day, but we created some amazing photos for these two to cherish for a lifetime. Our session featured a fall and a winter feel. The first location still had fall trees, leaves, and warm colors. At our second location downtown, it starting snowing! This was a definite first for me as I have never photographed anyone in falling snow… It looked beautiful! Liz’s hair looked gorgeous and the snowflakes fell perfectly on her hair. And, I’ve never had a session that reflected two seasons so seamlessly. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome!

Elizabeth & Zach – I loved working with the two of you, and I’m thankful that you braved the cold for amazing engagement photos. Your love was radiant during the session and contagious while I was editing! So excited for your wedding!
