Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today’s topic is so, so fun! We’re talking wedding dress shopping!

Oh my goodness, how fun is it to see the vast variety of wedding dresses? I am usually in awe when I truly think of all the options there truly are…

In my mind, wedding dress shopping should be a fun, emotional experience, and it usually goes a few different ways… 1) the bride has an exact idea/style of dress that she is looking for and chooses the perfect dress accordingly, 2) the bride has a style of dress she wants, but ends up falling in love with something completely different, or 3) the bride has no idea what she’s looking for when going into dress shopping, but finds the most amazing gown she didn’t even know she was looking for!

At the start of wedding dress shopping, I think it’s important to communicate your budget and overall wedding style to your consultant and to bring along the important people you want to share the experience with! It’s also fun to plan a little more and take a quick look at tuxes and bridesmaid dresses the bridal shop offers, too.

And, I one hundred percent recommend that you, the bride, go into the experience with an open mind… Even if you have an idea of what you “like”, don’t be scared to try something different or to try something that is out of your comfort zone – remember, I said it should be fun, too! After all, just because you try on a dress doesn’t mean that you have to buy the dress!
