Willowhaven Park Family Photographer | The Ventura Family

My third session with the Ventura family over the past couple of years did not disappoint! From the golden sunset glow to the wide-open grassy field at Willowhaven Park and the joy of spending time with this beautiful family, it was one of those sessions that fills your cup to the brim. Even better? Seeing how much Apollo has grown since our last session. Watching these little ones grow and change through the years is one of the best parts of what I do.

As I was editing these images, I kept thinking about something I often share with my clients when they’re searching for the right family photographer. My biggest piece of advice? Look through a photographer’s work and imagine it on your walls. Is it your style? Does it feel like your family? Would you love to look at those photos every day in your home?

It’s so important to find a photographer whose work reflects what you love… From the way they shoot and pose to how they edit and deliver their images. But just as important is finding someone whose personality fits well with your family. Sessions should feel relaxed and fun, especially when little ones are involved. The connection between you and your photographer can make all the difference.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with families from their engagement and wedding days to newborn sessions, milestone sessions, and beyond. Some clients find me when they’re expecting their first baby and become lifers, while others find me once their kiddos are a little older. No matter how or when our paths cross, I’m so grateful for every chance to walk alongside families and document their story.
