As I’ve been diving into my new role as a Virtual Small Business Mentor (read more about that here) over these past few months, I’ve been eager to start sharing more advice for small business owners, especially creatives, on my blog!
Today, I’m super excited to share with you three books that I think are “must-reads” for female entrepreneurs. While I have many, many more to share with you, this is a nice starting place. So, here we go!
- #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso – Because we all have a little girl boss in us! I love sharing this book with female entrepreneurs because it encourages you in a way that reveals that YOU define your own success, and it is always unique to you. This book is full of life and biz lessons, struggle + success, and the REAL LIFE of it all.
- Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist – Ummm, do I need to say more? As a lady in biz, it’s hard to try to be everything to everyone… Striving for perfection. But in the midst of it all, we find ourselves striving too much for the perfect and losing touch with the present moments in our lives. This book is so grounding and encouraging for female entrepreneurs!
- The Best Yes by Lysa Terkeurst – Friend, I have grown a lot in my business over the past three years, but I know that that growth has taken a lot of commitment, soul searching, and learning. This book is the BEST for teaching you how to say your “best yes” to things in your life and business. And my favorite part of this book? It doesn’t make you feel bad for saying no in your life and business. It encourages you that when you say “no” to one thing in your life or biz, you’re saying “yes” to something else whether it be your family, your clients, or something else.
