Do you remember Deidre and Howard from their engagement session and destination wedding in Mexico last year? Well, they’ve added a furry pup to their family, and we had so much fun taking Whiskey’s first professional photos at their Christmas card shoot in Chicago.

Since moving to Bourbonnais last December, I have sincerely LOVED being only an hour from the city. It’s so nice living a slower paced life just south of the city, while still being able to frequent the city for sessions, dinner dates, and time with family members. I’m just loving this season in my business – it’s been so fulfilling seeing things unfold!

So, you can probably guess that I’m getting used to driving in the city – yay, go me! – and starting to become much more familiar with the places and spaces for photos. For the Wilson family session, I loved incorporating fall colors at the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk and then finishing the session gazing to the city skyline. The sights were magnificent and showcased the city that is home to Deidre, Howard, Whiskey and the start of their love story!
