Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure to get to know the Harroun family. This family moved into the house next door to my childhood home, and I have been photographing life’s milestones for them ever since!

As the Harroun family prepares for baby #2, I was so excited when Ellyn contacted me about photographing her maternity session along with family photos before the little one arrives. I photographed Ellyn’s first maternity session, and I felt pure joy to be able to photograph her second, too.

Throughout the session, Mr. Parker was a ham. He loved talking to me, checking out the camera, giving me hugs, and letting me hold him. I was so happy that he was so friendly and at ease around me. He didn’t mind one bit that I had a camera and wanted to take his photo!

Like I’ve said before, summer sunset light is my favorite. I truly think that the soft, beautiful light highlights the joy within families, and it is the perfect time of the day to capture a family in their own unique moments.
