It’s been one year since I met Taylor and Karl, and just like that, they have already celebrated their one month wedding anniversary this week! I am thrilled to share their wedding day with you today!
You probably remember Taylor and Karl from their engagement session last spring. Well, five years ago these two met and have been inseparable ever since. I’m sure you recall seeing their bubbly personalities and joy in their engagement photos. It’s so very true… These two are full of life and joy – just the way they should be! I have loved getting to know them over the past year.
Their wedding day was out of the ordinary and not like I would have guessed… Why you might ask?! The high temperature was in the 70s on October 29th! I’m sure all of us were expecting it to be a cool, colorful fall day, but no way, it was a WARM, colorful fall day! Just days before their wedding, the leaves finally began to change, and the colors were out of this world… Taylor accented her decor and the navy blue bridesmaids dresses with oranges, yellows, and soft pinks – these colors worked perfectly with the fall tones! Everything timed out perfectly as if Taylor’s parents were planning details from heaven. This thought brings tears to my eyes!
This day was especially beautiful to me because Taylor’s parents were always with her throughout the day… You could simply feel their presence and love for their daughter and her new husband. Taylor wore a lovely ID bracelet her dad made for her mom before they were married. She told me that she would be wearing it to be sure they were with her on her big day. And another way her parents were present? A beautiful black and white photo of Taylor’s parents in an angel locket was incorporated into her bouquet, so her parents could walk her down the aisle along with her older sisters. These details were perfect and ever so meaningful. These details were some of the most important I have photographed this year.
All throughout the day, the emotions of happiness, joy, and love were overflowing from everyone. Taylor, Karl, and their families spent the day cherishing their time together while remembering and honoring those that were present in spirit. My second shooter, Sarah, and I found ourselves in tears many times during this breathtaking day because of this very reason. I love Taylor and Karl for this piece of their hearts – they are truly some of the best people you will ever meet. This day was an absolutely beautiful day of celebration and love!
I remember leaving Taylor and Karl’s wedding day simply feeling happy. I felt happy to have witnessed such a beautiful, raw, emotional day. I felt even happier to have documented it. And best of all? I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness that this couple had come into my life. It doesn’t get better than this!
Taylor & Karl – Your wedding day is one that I will never forget. Your kind, genuine souls are the perfect match, and I am so grateful to know you two! Enjoy married life!
