All the heart eyes for this engagement session! I’m excited to share Stephanie and Dan’s summer riverwalk and skyline engagement photos!

Meet Stephanie and Dan! These two call Chicago home and met at work. They work for the same company and their mutual work friends introduced them at a work happy hour. Then last spring, Dan proposed at the start of the pandemic on Stephanie’s birthday. Coronavirus threw a wrench in a few of his plans, but he decided not to postpone and proposed while they were walking over the Clark Street Bridge in Chicago. Stephanie shared with me that she was completely surprised!

I connected with these two last summer after they got engaged and started planning their 2022 wedding day. Stephanie and I attended Illinois College together for undergrad, so it was an absolute joy to hear of her engagement and see her name in my inbox! We’re looking forward to documenting Stephanie and Dan’s wedding day with both photography and videography next May.

On the day of their engagement session this summer, we were thankful for gorgeous weather (despite some rain in the forecast!)… I’m so glad we went for it and didn’t worry too much about the weather because this session was a blast! This was the first time Stephanie and Dan had been professionally photographed – what an honor! They warmed right up to the camera.

We had fun stopping at the Wrigley Building and walking along the riverwalk for photos before heading to North Avenue Beach for the beloved Chicago skyline shots. You guys, this night of photos did not disappoint! I’ve shared some of my favorite photos from this session below, so you’ll just have to see for yourself.
