Studio Newborn Photos in Kankakee | The Prairie Family

What a joy it was to welcome the Prairie family to the studio for their newborn session! I first met this sweet family over the summer for their maternity photos, and it’s always so special when I get to continue documenting these milestones as a family grows. Baby Lily was an absolute dream for her session. Snuggly, sweet, and perfectly sleepy the entire time!

There’s something so peaceful about those early newborn days, and I always remind my clients that this season passes in the blink of an eye. That’s why I recommend scheduling newborn photos within the first two weeks after the baby’s birth (three weeks at the latest). It’s truly the sweet spot for capturing those cozy, sleepy moments when your little one is still so tiny and content to be swaddled and snuggled.

This session with the Prairie family was the perfect reminder of why I love photographing newborns in those first few weeks – there’s such a quiet beauty in these early days as families settle into their new rhythm together. I’m so excited to continue capturing the Prairie family as they grow in the seasons to come!
