Beth and Brad’s spring Lake Geneva wedding at the Grand Geneva was one for the books! We adore this couple and were thankful to document their wedding day with both photo and video!!
I met these two last fall after another one of our brides, Daniela, connected us. I’m forever thankful for that connection and hit it off with Beth and Brad from the start. After their engagement session last November, I knew their wedding day was going to be amazing no matter what!
From The Couple
Beth and Bradley met on the dating app Bumble. They exchanged messages back and forth for a few weeks before Bradley asked Beth on their first date in March 2019. Unfortunately for Brad, Beth’s brother Vinny decided to come home to visit the weekend of their proposed date. Beth had to cancel. They continued to text and rescheduled their first date for March 18 at Flo and Santos. They had a fun and easy-going first date, and Beth went home to gush about the night to her roommate. Their next dates were equally as entertaining and after a couple of weeks, they were spending every day together.
On Friday, July 17, 2020, in the backyard of their first home in Evergreen Park, Bradley surprised Beth with their families to ask her to marry him. She arrived home in her scrubs, to Brad down on one knee, and their families gathered on the deck. Brad ordered food from Flo and Santos, including the ravarogi from their first date. Their families met, and everyone celebrated the newly engaged couple. It was THE BEST weekend followed by seeing friends and hosting a housewarming party the next day. This weekend was definitely a peak amongst all of the pits in 2020!
They have a dog, Topanga, and a cat, Judy. Brad works in customer success, and Beth is a speech pathologist. They love to hang out in their backyard in the pool and watch New Girl. They love our families and host get-togethers as often as they can.
The Wedding Day
This wedding day started on the perfect note with spring blooms and sunshine in Lake Geneva! Kyle and I arrived on-site with our friend and second shooter, Joe, to document Beth and Brad’s wedding day – you could feel the excited energy all around!
I loved that Beth and Brad chose Wisconsin for their wedding day especially since Brad is from Wisconsin… It was a mini “destination” wedding for both the Chicagoland and Wisconsin crowds – so fun! It all just made sense and fit together seamlessly!
Both wedding parties were getting ready and doing finishing touches and before we knew it, it was time to really get the day rolling! Beth shared the sweetest first look with her dad before the first look with Brad. I loved photographing both these moments of their day. Such sweet emotions! It was a joy to see Brad lay eyes on Beth for the first time in her wedding dress and to see him wiping the happy tears from his eyes.
After the first looks wrapped up, we jumped into wedding party photos on the Grand Geneva property. We were thankful for spring blooms and a super fun wedding party, that’s for sure! And as the afternoon went on, it was time to tuck away the wedding party for a little break before the ceremony.
One of my favorite parts about Beth and Brad’s wedding day was the part where Beth’s dad, Jack, officiated the ceremony! I loved the personal connection and sentiment and know this couple and their loved ones will remember it forever. I also dearly loved the little details and sentiment throughout the day in honor of Brad’s late father, Rabbi.
Once these two were married, it was time to CELEBRATE!
We loved sneaking these two away for a few sunset photos before they joined the reception celebration. I mean, it wouldn’t have been such a fun Lake Geneva wedding day without sunset photos to prove it, right?! These two and their loved ones were a blast all day long!

All in all, this wedding day was one for the books. Kyle and I voted that Beth is the most excited bride we’ve ever worked with (and we’ve photographed a lot of wedding days)… She was smiling all day long and whenever Brad locked eyes with her, her smile was contagious. We love this couple!
