The most gorgeous snowy wedding day in St. Libory, Illinois with Kendall and Noah is here!
This couple is near and dear to my heart, and you probably remember them from their gorgeous engagement session last year! Kendall is my college roommate and bestie Alexis’s younger sister, so you can bet that this couple has a special place in my heart. I’ve loved getting to love them and know them better as a couple over the last year of wedding planning.
It’s an honor to share their wedding day on the blog!
From the Couple
We met in grade school and were always friends up until we were 15 and 16 and officially started dating! We talked about spending forever together and having kids together when we were 16, and I knew then he was someone special. And a little bonus we survived 4 years of long distance!
Last summer, we went to visit Alexis and Scott and were winery hopping. We went to go walk around the winery and walked up to a greenery archway. When I turned around, he was down on one knee! I cried the entire time.
We are head over heels in love with our pup Dallas. We enjoy exploring Cincinnati, going to breweries, and especially going to dog-friendly places.
Our favorite part of wedding planning has been being surrounded by our friends and family! It’s so fun to be around our favorite people that we don’t get to see often!
Advice For Future Engaged Couples
Being a partnership is extremely important. Long distance helped us form a strong foundation of trust which helped to build our relationship.
The Wedding Day
Kendall and Noah’s wedding day started with the biggest surprise… 6 inches of SNOW! Everyone was surprised, in awe, and ready to embrace the snowy day! Thankfully, Kendall loves snow – and so did her late grandpa – so it was absolutely perfect.
We started the day at Kendall’s childhood home where the girls were getting ready for the day. After I photographed all the details to frame the day, Kyle traveled to Noah’s parents’ home to capture getting ready moments with the guys. I loved my time spent with the girls as they finished hair and makeup, loved on puppy Dallas, flipped through a wedding scrapbook with Kendall, and popped champagne in their jammies… So much fun!
Before we knew it, it was time for Kendall to get into her wedding dress and reveal her wedding look to her bridesmaids and dad. I loved photographing these moments!
Once everyone was ready, we braved the snow for a few photos and made our way to the church. Kendall and Noah shared a beautiful ceremony in the same church where many of her loved ones have been married. I’ll never forget photographing the beautiful moment Noah saw Kendall walking down the aisle.
After the ceremony, we made our way back to Kendall’s childhood home for wedding party and couples photos. Now, we were working with 6 inches of snow on the ground AND 20-degree temperatures… Kendall, Noah, and their wedding party were rock stars! With minimal complaining and all of us freezing together, we created the most beautiful snowy wedding photos and memories. The snow truly brought their classic and timeless black, white, and gold wedding day to life!
I’ll be forever thankful that Kendall and Noah trusted me and embraced the snowy day! We may have frozen, but I would do it again in a heartbeat for these two!
Once photos wrapped up, we traveled back to St. Libory where the reception kicked off! The legion in St. Libory is where all of the family weddings have taken place. We loved photographing all the reception fun and ending the night with sparkler photos.
Kendall & Noah – Wow, where do I begin?! We have so much love for you both and are forever thankful you trusted us with your wedding day. It’s been such an honor walking alongside you throughout planning, becoming dear friends, and truly feeling like family on your wedding day. We are cheering you on in marriage and can’t wait to see where marriage takes you two!
