Bre and Sean’s wedding day is here! They shared the most beautiful outdoor September wedding day in Valparaiso a few weeks ago.
You probably remember these two from their engagement session last year or maybe from another wedding! We first met these two at Colleen and Joel’s wedding in 2020 – both Bre (Joel’s sister) and Sean were a part of that wedding. These full-circle moments make my heart so happy!
When Bre and Sean kicked wedding planning into full gear, it was an honor to be asked to be their wedding photography and videography team. We love this couple!
From the Couple
Sean and I met in college. We both attended Indiana University Northwest where I was majoring in nursing and he was majoring in criminal justice. At the time, he was also a police officer. We ended up meeting after one of my clinicals, and the rest is history. We were pretty much inseparable after that and created a good friendship before we started seriously dating.
I knew Sean was the one when I had a couple of deaths in my family that really affected me and he was my rock the whole time. Whenever I wanted Dairy Queen or Pizza Hut he was there with it in hand.
Our proposal was every girl’s dream. Our good friends live on Cedar Lake. We ended up drinking some wine and then took a boat ride to the Lighthouse. He proposed on the balcony with the most gorgeous ring, red roses, and one of my favorite songs playing. We took tons of pictures and drank lots of champagne to celebrate the occasion.
We are a pretty simple couple and enjoy good food and time together. Our dogs, Armour and Hammer are our babies and we spoil them rotten! We are big animal lovers and enjoy our dogs the most. We both love the simple things in life and can’t wait to spend forever together!
Favorite Part Of The Planning Process
My (Bre) favorite part of the planning process has been to watch everything come together even if it stresses me out! I just know it will be beautiful no matter what because at the end of the day I am marrying the love of my life.
Advice You Can Share With Future Couples
Our most valuable piece of advice to future couples would be to enjoy every moment with your partner. At the end of the day, your marriage is about you two and doing whatever makes the two of you happy!
The Wedding Day
Bre and Sean envisioned an outdoor wedding day on family land in Valparaiso and surrounded by nature. Their dreams came to life and more on their wedding day from the absolutely gorgeous weather to the overall vibe of the day. It was perfect for these two!
The day started with everyone getting ready before we met up at the property for the first look and photos. Bre and Sean shared a sweet first look and letter exchange before we had tons of fun with their wedding party throughout the afternoon. Then, it was wedding time! After the ceremony, we wrapped up photos and made our way to the reception… Complete with a flip cup wedding party entrance – love it! The energy and excitement were contagious all day long!
Looking back on Bre and Sean’s wedding day, I have many favorite moments! One of my favorite parts of the day was photographing their dogs walking down the aisle and in photos after the ceremony… You know I’m a softie for the pups! Another very favorite moment was getting to see our past couple, Colleen and Joel, and so many family members we already knew throughout the day!
And finally, my favorite moment of all was sneaking away for just married sunset photos after the ceremony. Sean’s dad planted sunflowers last year to test the timing. This year, he planted them again and the timing was perfect for the wedding. The sunflowers, the light, and Bre and Sean’s love were so beautiful to photograph. What a dreamy moment to look back on!
Bre and Sean share such an easy, fun love. They fit together perfectly, can make each other laugh in an instant, and are a joy to be around. Their love holds them together as they build a life together, and it was an honor to document their outdoor wedding day in Valparaiso.
