Oh my goodness, the fall colors were so beautiful for this wedding day… Swooning!

Late last summer, I remember when I first connected with Samantha + Darin through another past couple, Brianna + Tom. What a blessing! Past couples connecting me with other amazing couples is seriously the icing on the cake… I LOVE IT!

Samantha and Darin’s story goes back – way back – to kindergarten. These two met in their first years of school and became friends. Even with changing schools, throughout the years these two stayed connected through their families. As years passed and these two went off to college and both moved back in 2011, they ran into each other. Throughout the next few years, they would see each other in passing but continued on throughout life’s blessings and ups and downs. Both Samantha and Darin welcomed baby girls into their lives over this time. Then, on New Year’s Eve in 2015, Samantha and Darin ran into each other yet again. This time was different though, as they felt they were reconnecting for a bigger reason. Soon after, they were spending nearly every day together and their relationship became official with introducing their daughters to each other. And I love how Darin proposed to Samantha while they were gathered with their closest family and friends at a summer barbecue… What a wonderful surprise + occasion!

Throughout the past year and a half, I have LOVED getting to know these two and their daughters. From their engagement session + our pizza date afterwards to their spring family photo session… I always enjoy my time spent with them!

At the start of this wedding day, I was in awe of the fall day we were blessed with – this day was inexplicably beautiful! The colors, the light, the warm fall air, and the people. It doesn’t get much better than that! I loved arriving to see everyone gathered, enjoying the morning, and preparing for the day ahead. And before we knew it, it was time to start a few pre-ceremony photos near Lake Vermilion in Danville and then travel to the ceremony.

Samantha and Darin’s wedding ceremony is one I will never forget. It was incredibly beautiful + heartfelt, and my heart still swells when I remember the moment Darin surprised Samantha during the ceremony… Darin not only vowed his forever to Samantha, but also to her daughter. This moment was momentous and full of emotion. So many happy tears!

And of course, soon it was time to celebrate after a quick stop at Kennekuk for bridal party and bride + groom photos. These colors – I’m in LOVE! Wait until you see the light, colors, and people. Plus, Samantha’s stunning wedding gown (hello AMAZINGLY beautiful!) is such a statement in these photos, too. The celebration of marriage with their family, friends, and daughters all throughout this day was wonerrful, and I loved documenting every moment all day long!

It’s true, these two are the perfect match for one another… They love so unconditionally. And their hearts are so big and full of love and joy that they graciously share with each other, their daughters, and their loved ones. Samantha also told me that Darin is everything she’s ever wanted and prayed for in a future husband, friend, and father to their children – so beautiful!
