The month of October flew by! Don’t you think so, too?
Throughout the month, we got settled in our new home between Kyle’s work at the brewery, family time, and photographing many fall weddings and sessions. I used to tell myself that… “Things will slow down when…” but now I’m finding that life is better when you embrace the chaos. There’s always going to be something. All in all, it was a good month to us!
The month started with moving a few last things from our past rental to our new home. First room I set up at the new house? My office! I’m still tweaking a few things but loving it so far. I love home decor so it’s been a fun challenge to find new places for all of my old decor pieces.
As the first week of the month literally flew by, we jumped right into a wedding weekend! And we were spoiled with this wedding because it took place less than 10 minutes from our house with an amazing couple. What a blessing after moving that week!
After our first October wedding, we moved into the following week full of sessions, 1:1 mentoring, and a travel wedding day! Then it was the middle of the month in a flash, and we were celebrating my birthday! We spent my birthday on our annual Covered Bridge day trip. It was a good day with my mom, sister, niece, sister-in-law, and nephews. Oh, and I have a little confession… For a girl that LOVES cake, I didn’t eat any on my birthday! But I made up for it and had cake for breakfast the next day ?
And as the month continued to pass, I enjoyed photographing a few more fall sessions, meeting newly engaged brides, and photographing more fall weddings. The third week of the month also brought the kick-off of our church small group that meets every Sunday. These people are the best to spend intentional time with each week reflecting on life and leaning on each other!
As the last week and days of the month came, I photographed a wonderful day of fall mini sessions, and we even got to see our niece Sofia (aka Minnie Mouse) in her Halloween costume to end the month just right. October was FULL and flew by, but like I said earlier, it was good to us.
Cheers to November and starting to feel the holiday season all around!
