I’m excited to share Morgan and Joe’s fall Kankakee County engagement photos on the blog!

I connected with these two in October right after they got engaged. Morgan was familiar with my work from past friends that I’ve photographed over the years, and I just love that! It really is a small world!

Two years ago, Morgan and Joe met at a mutual friend’s wedding in Wisconsin. He was in the wedding as a friend of the groom, and she attended as a friend of the bride. They told me that it was an unexpected set of circumstances for them, but that it was absolutely meant to be! Earlier this fall,  Joe proposed to Morgan back home no her grandparents’ farm. She was completely surprised! Now, they’re planning their September 2021 wedding day!

On the day of their engagement session, we were thankful for November sunshine despite the 40-something degree day. These two traveled down to Kankakee County for something different and outside of where they live in Chicago. We started the session at the Kankakee River State Park – a local favorite. We explored and hiked a bit for some of the perfect photo spots. Then, we traveled to another favorite – Perry Farm – for sunset photos to end their session. This couple and that light… Love it!
