Snow, snow, SNOW! This snowy Newfields engagement session at the Indianapolis Museum of Art was one for the books… And this session marked my very last session of 2019!

You might remember Jori as a maid of honor in Brittany + John’s wedding. She’s a sweetie, and I was giddy as soon as I saw her engagement announcement and email in my inbox as she and Matt started wedding planning! It’s a joy to have a wonderful bride tribe in my life.

Jori and Matt met on a dating app and haven’t looked back since! This past October, Matt surprised Jori with a proposal! He asked her if she wanted to go to their family’s lake house for the weekend before a Ray Lamontagne concert that Sunday night. Jori said that was an easy yes! They got there in the evening and after bringing all of their belongings inside, Jori turned the lights down and lit a candle. Then, Matt got down on one knee in front of her as soon as she sat down on the couch to settle in for the night. Jori said it was the easiest yes in her life!

Since these two joined the wedding family a couple months ago, they joined my snow session waiting list… Yep, the amazing souls that are willing to wait for beautiful snow for their photos! And we are so glad that everything worked out, and we didn’t even have to wait until January for snow like we thought we might!

A few days before their engagement session, something like 8 inches of snow dumped on the Indianapolis area (where Jori and Matt call home) – can you say perfect? Our schedules aligned and everything came together! We met at the Newfields, part of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. You guys, this location was gold! Even with the snowy scenes, there was so much to work with. We agreed that we were in a winter wonderland!

I loved my time spent with Jori and Matt at their snowy engagement session at the Newfields. So excited for their Indianapolis wedding next summer!
