Diana and Osmund’s wedding day was a DREAM! We’ll be gushing over this couple and their New Furama wedding day in Chicago for many years to come!
I officially met these two for the first time at their engagement session earlier this year, but we’ve been working together throughout the past year as they’ve been planning their wedding day. They’re kind people and gosh, SO FUN! To know them is to love them.
From the Couple
We met in high school but our story doesn’t start till the end of college. Diana and I started talking more and more towards the end of college and realized how much we enjoyed each other’s company. We had many late-night talks, some planning our next vacation and others talking about our career goals.
The days leading up to the proposal were sleepless nights thinking of what all could go wrong. I (Osmund) picked Colorado Springs. It was a breath of fresh air from the normal cities we visited, and we love exploring nature. I had the ring box in my bag the entire trip and was afraid she would be able to see it.
On the day of the proposal we drove to Pike’s Peak, the high winds did not allow us to drive up to the summit where I was planning to propose. We stopped for photos as we drove up the mountain, but since it was cold, Diana decided to stay in the car while I explored.
As we were driving down the mountain, I knew I had to find a spot where I could propose and time was running out. As we drove down to mile marker 7, I spotted a nice location and drove in. I went out to set the tripod and tried to get the best angle. Once it was set up, I brought Diana outside for a photo, pressed record and the rest is history.

The Wedding Day
Diana and Osmund’s wedding day started at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile where everyone was getting ready for the day. Once hair and makeup wrapped up, Diana and Osmund shared a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony – complete with door games – alongside their parents and wedding party. We loved every minute!
After the tea ceremony, Diana changed into her wedding dress and we made our way to the Art Institute South Gardens for the first look and photos. Osmund’s reaction during the first look says it all. He’s over the moon in love with Diana and they were both incredibly excited to become husband and wife!
Throughout the afternoon, we loved hanging out with Diana, Osmund, and their wedding party. We loved photographing everyone at the Art Institute South Gardens and then with the skyline backdrop at Milton Lee Olive Park. They picked the best locations for photos! On their wedding day, the weather was GORGEOUS, too, so we were thankful for the day and the people.
Before we knew it, we were traveling to the venue, New Furama, where Diana and Osmund would make things official. At this point in the day, Diana’s sister shifted roles from maid of honor to officiate, and we loved to document that! Diana and Osmund shared a beautiful ceremony alongside family and friends. It truly made it even more special that Diana’s sister was the one marrying them.
As the afternoon turned into the evening, we snuck outside of New Furama for newlywed sunset photos with Diana and Osmund – a dream – before the celebration really kicked off! Throughout the evening, you couldn’t wipe the smile from my face… What an honor to be welcomed into Diana and Osmund’s families to celebrate and document their special day. The joy in the room was contagious, and we loved playing a part in making their day a success!
Diana & Osmund – We adore you both and are incredibly thankful for you! Thank you for trusting us with wedding photography and videography on your wedding day. We can’t wait to photograph you two again in your life’s next chapters together!
