It’s May, people! Can you tell I’m excited?
After the month of April was filled with snow, rain, freezing cold temperatures, and basically the most unpredictable weather you’ve ever seen in Central Illinois… I was ready for May – one step closer to summer, my favorite season!
The past month started out with our little Georgie girl in a cone after she got a corneal ulcer (talk about scary!). So, we spoiled her rotten as she wore the cone for a couple weeks while her eye healed. And I’m so so happy to report that little lady has a clean bill of health, and she’s good to go now! After that craziness with Georgie, the month moved into some coaching sessions with my business and celebrating my sister’s birthday. Now, this year her birthday wasn’t like any other birthday because this was her very last birthday before she becomes a MOM! I cannot contain my excitement!
Then, our month moved into Tuesdays Together, a couple sessions, completing Financial Peace University at our church, and a trip to southern Illinois for a bridal shower with my dear friend Alexis! It’s crazy to think that four years ago we were getting closer to my wedding day, and now, here we are getting so excited for her wedding day this summer. I loved spending a couple days with her + seeing our college girlfriends, too! Oh, and I cannot forget that we loved spending time with Kyle’s siblings in the middle of the month and loving on our nephew Cooper.
As we tipped to the latter half of the month, I loved on a few new brides, enjoyed a couple coffee + day dates with creative girlfriends, spent an off Saturday night with my sweet best friends, and enjoyed the first Saturday morning farmers market of the season! The end of the month brought lots of time out in the yard playing ball with Georgie, yard work, woodworking projects for Kyle, and hosting our second Cake + Cameras class.
April was a good month (aside from the weather), and we’re looking forward to the month of May’s adventures!
