Bree and Hans’ modern elegant iHotel wedding day is new on the blog today! You might remember these two from their stunning winter engagement session. They are such a fun couple, and it was an honor to photograph their big day!
From the Bride
My grandma Carlene actually introduced me to Hans. She was begging me to add him on Facebook, and as soon as I did he messaged me after his basketball game. We’ve been dating since 2012 our junior year of high school. We went to the same college and then after college moved in together. We’ve always talked about marriage so we knew it would be each other but just weren’t exactly sure when it would happen. We have a one-year-old Australian shepherd named Luna, and she is our pride and joy. We adore her.
Hans proposed on a casual Sunday night as I was making dinner and got down on one knee right there in the kitchen. I loved how it was so intimate and no one else was around. In the future, we would love to travel more as a couple and see different places together. We can’t wait to start this next chapter!
The Wedding Day
Bree and Hans’ shared a warm late August wedding day in Champaign! The day started at the iHotel where everyone was getting ready and soon we made our way to Wesley United Methodist Church… WOW! It’s a gorgeous place nestled on the U of I campus and was the perfect spot for Bree and Hans’ union. We loved exploring the courtyard for their first look and wedding party photos. This church helped bring Bree and Hans’ modern elegant wedding vision to life!
After things were official, we loaded up the wedding party for a few more photos in downtown Champaign. Bree and Hans shared their wedding day with a big group of friends, and these photos show some of their fun personalities! Once photos wrapped, it was off to the reception where everyone continued to celebrate!
We always love an iHotel wedding day. It’s a modern, fun wedding spot, and it fit Bree and Hans’ wedding day perfectly! We loved seeing all of their decor come together in the space where they would celebrate.
One of my very favorite parts of this wedding day (scroll for the photo!) was the special touch on Bree’s bouquet. Bree’s mom made a special piece for her bouquet that had photos of her late grandmas and grandpa so they would be by her side all day long. I love these meaningful touches on wedding days! Another favorite part of this day was the sunset – gosh that glowy sunset was a DREAM! Bree and Hans are a gorgeous couple and were blessed with the most gorgeous sunset to end their wedding day.
