Happy June friends! I’m back again with another monthly recap blog… This time around I’m sharing my month of May 2019 recap!
The month started out with one of our favorite days of the year – Georgie girl’s birthday! We celebrated with lots of puppy dog snuggles and homemade cupcakes for Georgie and friends. Georgie’s birthday always starts the month of May off on a happy note!
As we rolled past the celebration, I loved spending a day with my sister-in-law Erin and nephew Cooper at IKEA. Man, that place is dangerous! I only ended up with new bedding for our master bedroom and guest bedroom… Not too shabby! Then the first weekend of the month brought exciting times – it was time to plant the garden! We spent a few hours at one of our favorite local greenhouses getting all of our plant babies. And once the ground dried up that weekend, we planted! Our summer garden adventures continue this year…
The first full week of the month brought a mentoring session, meetings with brides, celebrating my mom’s birthday, and a downtown wedding day! And the weekend brought a FREEZING day – you guys it was 45 degrees and raining – in Chicago for a brewery dodgeball tournament before spending Mother’s Day with our mom. You know you love your hubby when you’re willing to brave the freezing cold AND rain for him!
After we warmed up from that chilly weekend, it was into a week of two sessions, a little mentoring, another happy hour for creatives, and all things wedding for my best friend Kylie. I always say that it’s a change of pace but also oh so fun to be on the other side of weddings sometimes. I just loved spending a long weekend celebrating our dear friend!
Once wedding weekend wrapped up, it was onto another week with an engagement session and not one but two wedding days over Memorial Day weekend. Yep that’s right, Kyle and I packed our schedule this MDW between two weddings, the Indy 500, and a day of running garden errands – we definitely needed a weekend from our weekend!
The last week of May brought two more engagement sessions (it’s that time of year!) and a little rest for this wife and photog.
Here’s to the month of June – my favorite month of the year!
