This maternity session at our Kankakee studio was one for the books!

My bestie is having a baby! Ashlen and Matt are welcoming their first child this spring, and we couldn’t be more excited for them! Believe it or not, this maternity session was the first time (of hopefully many more to come!) that I’ve photographed Ashlen and Matt.

They’ve been dating since we were in college and married since 2017. Ashlen and Matt are building a beautiful life together on their family farm. I have no doubt that they are going to be the best parents in this next chapter of their marriage and life together!

Ashlen has been my bestie since seventh grade when she moved to my hometown. It makes me cry thinking of all the milestones we’ve shared in our friendship throughout all these years. I have so many fond memories of growing up with her by my side. It’s incredibly sweet to walk alongside her as she steps into the role of mom in the next couple of months.

For Ashlen and Matt’s maternity photos, we met at the studio and had the best time! This was Ashlen’s first visit to my studio, and I think it’s safe to say she loved it. We had so much fun taking photos, and my heart was very feeling very gushy the entire session. Celebrating this season of life and the next chapter for Ashlen and Matt is easy!
