Fall season is winding down and quickly turning into wintertime in Chicagoland! Just before Thanksgiving, I met up with Andrea and Chris for their engagement photos. Just wait until you see their sunset photos at North Avenue Beach!

Meet Andrea and Chris! A few years ago, they met at a pizza place in Lincoln Park after a night out! Andrea wanted the last slice of pepperoni but the guy in front of her ordered the last one. Andrea tried to pay him double for the slice, but he let her share it with him in exchange for her phone number… Three months later, they had their first date!

This past summer, Chris completely surprised Andrea when he proposed! He rented a sailboat on Lake Michigan and had their closest friends with them. On their way back to the pier and with the Chicago skyline in the background during sunset, they made their way to the front of the boat and Chris got down on one knee! Then Chris surprised Andrea with an engagement party with their parents and extended family at Navy Pier. Now, they’re planning their NYE wedding for next year!

On the day of their engagement session, we were thankful for the gorgeous late fall weather when we met up in Lincoln Park. We started their session at the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk and loved capturing vibrant fall colors. Then, we went to my favorite North Avenue Beach for skyline photos at sunset. The skyline was chilly, but it was totally worth it! These are some of my new favorite North Avenue Beach engagement photos!

Andrea and Chris were so easy-going and fun to spend the afternoon with for their engagement photos. I love when I meet clients in person and photograph them for the first time and everything feels so easy and natural. Andrea and Chris made me feel like we’d been friends for years, and I’m so very excited for their wedding day!
