Get ready for the most gorgeous Kinzie Street Bridge and North Avenue Beach engagement photos coming your way!
Meet Sidney & Brendan! These two found my work this spring after getting engaged and searching for Chicagoland wedding vendors online. I love it!
Their story goes back to meeting in middle school and starting to date in 7th and 8th grade – my heart! They’ve been together for nine years, spent several years of their relationship long-distance, and have grown up together. I remember when I first met Sidney on our FaceTime consult this spring. We instantly connected over our similar stories of young love (Kyle and I met my freshman & his junior year of high school), long-distance, and growing up together and falling more in love. Young love like that is truly a testament to growing in life and love together and choosing each other every day.
This past February, Brendan surprised Sidney and proposed while they were vacationing at their family condo in Florida. Brendan even included both families – their immediate families flew down for the surprise and to celebrate! These two recently moved in together in Chicago and are enjoying making the city their home while wedding planning, of course!
On the evening of their engagement session, I was thrilled with the weather! It was an 80-something degree day in Chicago with a little breeze… Absolutely perfect for late June! We started the session at a favorite spot, Kinzie Street Bridge, and I loved photographing these two from the start. They’re easy-going and lovey and it’s just so fun to photograph that! Plus, that light at Kinzie Street Bridge was DREAMY!
After a quick walk to their new apartment and an outfit change, we headed out to busy North Avenue Beach for skyline photos. And gosh, the skyline never disappoints! It was a joy to document Sidney and Brendan feeling like themselves and so in love. These photos make my heart happy!
We are oh so excited to photograph Sidney & Brendan’s wedding day at White Oak Farm Venue in Michigan City next summer!
