Late last summer, I met Julie after my photography business was highly recommended to her for her upcoming 2016 wedding. How sweet!

Don’t worry, I’m going to tell you more about Julie and her fiancé, but before I do, I want to express how incredibly thankful I am for clients, friends, and followers of my blog/website/Facebook page that share my business with others. It is amazing to see the continuous cycle of connecting, building relationships, and then doing it all over again oftentimes through word of mouth! I love my clients and friends!

Now, back to Julie and Mike! Just last weekend I was honored to photograph the engagement session of these two!

We were blessed with an almost 60 degree day and beautiful sunshine! While shooting the session, I remember telling this couple that days like “today” are exactly what I love about springtime nearing… The sunshine, warm(er) breeze, and seeing people out and about can’t not put you in a great mood!

Throughout their session, Julie and Mike were simply fun to be around! We laughed, joked, and enjoyed getting to know one another. I also loved catching up with these two about their wedding day plans. At the end of last year, I second shot the wedding of Mike’s daughter, so it was nice to talk with them on that day, but the day of their engagement session offered us even more time to enjoy each other’s company!

These two were so relaxed and up for my ideas and shooting all around Springfield, Illinois. I am so happy that they incorporated their own ideas and lifestyle into the session, too! You’ll know what I’m talking about once you see the last set of photos… 🙂
