This family session at Hickory Creek was so good!
Gosh, where to begin with this family?! The Metzger family has my heart!
Jennifer and Brett have been with me since their engagement in 2018 and wedding in 2019 – I’ve been photographing every special milestone since their wedding. Beckett is going to be a big brother this fall, so it was time for their last session as a family of three!
For this session, we met at what Jennifer and I like to call our favorite spot – Hickory Creek Forest Preserve. It’s gorgeous with tall grasses, trees, trails, and the most beautiful sunsets. We love it, and I know we’ll meet back at this spot again and again!
More about the session! If you remember the crazy heat a few weeks ago… Well, this session fell during those crazy hot days! Jennifer and Brett decided they wanted to go for it, and I’m happy to report that it was a gorgeous night despite the heat and humidity. Beckett was full of personality throughout the session and made me work for some smiles and fun! It’s been such a joy to watch this boy grow through my camera lens. He’s getting so tall and talking so much now. Can’t wait to see him as a big brother in a couple of months!
