Earlier this year, I photographed a late March wedding day and have felt touched by it ever since… Macy and Trace’s wedding day started out with the two of them surrounded by their loved ones, and the couples showered their people with gifts + love while getting ready… I have never seen such a generous couple toward all of their loved ones on their wedding day. It was a beautiful sight full of emotion, love, and happiness!
I loved the sentimental value of these gifts that the couple shared with their loved ones, and these two have wholeheartedly inspired me to share “Wedding Wednesday” posts about gift giving. This absolutely doesn’t go to say that you MUST gift your loved ones goodies on your wedding day, but the thoughtfulness truly counts.
On this very wedding day, the bride gifted her father a tie that said… “I’ll always be your little girl and you’ll always be my hero. Remember I loved you first.” Tears, happiness, ALL of the emotions!
Little touches like this sweet gift (whether it’s a tie, handkerchief, handwritten letter, or something else) for the father of the bride are so incredibly touching and full of emotion and meaning.
