Hey, I’m Kara!
I'm a family photographer and studio owner based in Kankakee, Illinois. My joy is helping families pause, celebrate, and remember life’s milestones – from new babies to growing little ones, and all the in-between moments.

Kara Evans - Kara Evans Photographer - Central Illinois Wedding Photographer - Wedding Wednesday Blog - Finding Your Something Borrowed - Something Borrowed, Something Blue - Something Borrowed TraditionSomething old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… The wedding saying that signifies good luck!

Finding your something borrowed detail(s) should be very special to each and every bride. These details – maybe the bride borrowed a sweater to wear over her dress, her grandmother’s ring, her father’s handkerchief, or a pair of her mother’s earrings – are incredibly meaningful and ever so important to document! This tradition (or at least incorporating something borrowed) is one I that I think every bride should consider including her wedding day…

I love learning about each bride’s “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Whatever it may be, these little details deserve to be appreciated!
