Our 2020 shooting season was packed with engagement sessions and lots of them! TWENTY-SEVEN unique engagement sessions ?
Season after season and year after year, it’s a joy to photograph engagement sessions. These sessions more often than not are the first time couples have been professionally photographed together. With that comes some nerves, excitement, and lots of planning – from locations and outfits to session inspiration and even organizing photos with our couples’ puppies. I love this part of my job! It’s an honor, and these sessions always bring me great joy! From city skylines to grassy fields to rooftops and everything you could imagine in between… I loved every minute of photographing these sessions and loving on our couples through photos this year! Engagements should be celebrated… Especially with photos!
This time with my couples is unmatched because I get to photograph them, but more importantly, I get to know them even better as a couple and spend quality time with them before their wedding days. Engagement sessions are a sweet spot where I block out my schedule to spend one-on-one time with my couples outside of the booking process, consults, FaceTime dates, emails, texts, and coffee dates. Don’t get me wrong, I do and always will love all of that because it’s part of the process… But I have to say that there’s something special about spending time together in person and getting to know each other more intentionally and in a relaxed, fun environment.
Going into 2021, it’s my goal to evoke more movement and play into engagement sessions and wedding days – wish me luck for an amazing shooting season in the new year!
All the heart eyes for every single one of these beautiful couples! Sending my (virtual) love!
