Today’s “Wedding Wednesday” advice is so simple, but it is a staple [emergency] item in my camera bag on every wedding day.
As a bride, maid of honor, or mother of the bride, do you ever wonder, what will we do if something gets on the dress? I’m sure you try not to even go there in your mind, but it is a valid thought to have.
Well, today I can confidently share that I have a plan for if this ever happens (and you can have a plan, too).
Drumroll please…. BABY WIPES!
Yes, baby wipes are perfect for cleaning up the bride’s dress! Sometimes makeup or a little bit of dirt will get on the bride’s dress (or deodorant on a groom’s tux after hugging guests), but don’t worry! Simply gently wipe a baby wipe onto the spot, and it’s fixed.
So you might be wondering, how did you figure this out? Well, at a wedding in the spring of 2015, the bride got a little spot on her dress, and the bridesmaids and I brainstormed about what each of us had that could potentially provide a solution. One of the bridesmaids was a mom and offered baby wipes. The rest is history!
From that day on, I always travel with baby wipes in my camera bag or in my car for this exact reason. What’s a wedding day emergency item that you recommend? Comment below!
