Another fall engagement with all the heart eyes! I’m happy to share Meredith and Ryan’s Kankakee engagement photos on the blog!
A few months ago, I connected with Meredith through one of my 2019 brides, Brittany. Gosh, it’s a joy to connect to brides I love through brides I love! We hit it off from the start and have been brainstorming engagement session details since.
As the days drew closer and closer to their engagement session, the should have been fall forecast was calling for a Halloween snowstorm when their session was supposed to take place. So, we did what any photographer and couple might do… We rescheduled the session to our backup “rain date” and hoped the snow would melt! Thankfully, the temps warmed up just enough to melt the snow and let the fall colors shine through! We were thankful for such a pretty fall day after all the weather watching.
We started the session in downtown Kankakee. It was the perfect backdrop for some urban vibes + textures before a more outdoorsy location. I love, like LOVE, these photos of Meredith and Ryan! They’d never been photographed before, but they were naturals in front of my camera and got comfortable being photographed quickly. That calls for happy dancing! Then, we moved to the Kankakee Country Club to round out the session – a sentimental location to Meredith and Ryan on their weekends visiting Ryan’s family back home and to show their love of golf.
All in all, this session was such a fun time! Even despite the chilly temps, these two braved the weather and wind and ended up with some of the most gorgeous fall Kankakee engagement photos. It doesn’t get much better than that!
