I’m so excited to share Michelle and Derek’s engagement photos at Lincoln Park and the Chicago skyline!
Meet Michelle and Derek! These two met through their best friends that are currently engaged, too, and have been together since. Back in February, Michelle and Derek took a trip to Tuscon, Arizona to visit family. Michelle thought they were having a couples photoshoot there as a Christmas gift from Derek’s sister, but she didn’t know the whole story… Halfway through the session, Derek got down on one knee and proposed! The Sabino Canyon desert scenery and mountains surrounded them for the photos and proposal. Love it!!
A few months ago, I connected with these two through one of my 2020 couples, Marybeth and Ryan, and have adored them since! It’s a joy to connect to new couples through current and past couples. I can’t tell you how much it warms my heart! Michelle and Derek are kind, down to earth, and so fun to be around which made their engagement session a blast! We started their session at the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk – a forever favorite photo location in the city. It’s lush and beautiful literally everywhere you turn.
After wrapping up photos at the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk, we walked to the lakefront for my all-time favorite Chicago skyline photos at sunset. North Avenue Beach really never disappoints for Chicago skyline photos. If you know, you know. This scenery is simply unmatched!
Throughout the session I had so much fun with Michelle and Derek – laughing, talking about our favorite TV shows and pets, and getting to know each other better. With how amazing their engagement session was… If one thing is for sure, their wedding day next year is going to be even more amazing!
