Andrea and Chris’s NYE wedding day wrapped up our 2022 wedding season, and wow, it was the most amazing note to end wedding season on! They are a power couple and honestly the coolest people. We’re the lucky ones to know them!
Here’s a look at their NYE wedding and super fun celebration!
From the Couple
We met at a pizza place in Chicago! He took the last slice of pepperoni, and I tried to buy it off of him. Luckily he was sweet enough and let me share it with him in exchange for my phone number! I knew he was the one after a month or so of dating. He had a mariachi band serenade me at one of our fave restaurants. He’s the type of guy that goes above and beyond for my feelings, comfort, safety, and happiness.
Chris proposed on a boat looking over the Chicago skyline in Lake Michigan surrounded by our best friends. Then there was a surprise engagement party waiting for me when we docked at Navy Pier with more of our family and friends. It was the most magical day and I was COMPLETELY surprised!
Favorite Part Of The Planning Process
Honestly the whole thing! We’ve been very blessed to have a smooth planning process. Picking our venue was so much fun – we both instantly had a gut feeling. We also LOVED our engagement shoot and had a blast even though we were numb by the end! It’s been so fun to figure out what we both like, and we have been completely in sync the whole time.
Advice For Future Engaged Couples
ENJOY THE PROCESS! Find your cheerleaders who will support you as a couple, stick to your vision, and don’t stress. It’s too special of a time to be stressed out. It goes by so fast and shouldn’t be spent worrying about little things.
The Wedding Day
Andrea and Chris’s New Year’s Eve wedding day started with hair, makeup, and getting ready at the nearby Hyatt Regency. Once hair and makeup wrapped up and the guys finished getting dressed, we traveled to Chevy Chase Country Club where all the wedding festivities were taking place. As the finishing touches came together, Andrea and Chris shared excitement and an eagerness to see each other and start the day.
These two shared one of my favorite first looks of all time! The emotions, excitement, and tender embraces were so Andrea and Chris and an honor to witness and document. Whether you’ve known these two for five minutes or five years, you know that they just fit perfectly together.
After the first look, Andrea, Chris, and their amazing wedding party braved the cold for photos outside. Would you believe me if I told you that we took ALL of the wedding party and couples photos outside… On December 31st… In Chicagoland? Well, it’s true! It was a fairly mild 30-something-degree day for late December, and they were up for a little cold. We’re so thankful to Andrea, Chris, and their loved ones for making photos go off without a hitch and for being all in for this couple. The photos truly speak for themselves!
As photos wrapped up, it was time to head inside and meet up with Andrea and Chris’s families for family photos before the ceremony. And before we knew it, the ceremony was ready to begin and Andrea was walking down the aisle. I loved their sweet, personalized ceremony and all of the cozy winter vibes that the ceremony space held.
After Andrea and Chris said “I Do” – it was time to celebrate! We loved documenting the details for their winter wonderland reception at Chevy Chase Country Club with all things warmth, glam, and romance. It was perfect for New Year’s Eve!
Throughout the reception, we loved documenting and witnessing Andrea and Chris’s favorite people pouring love and encouragement (and a few fun memories!) into this couple with toasts and prayers. Every time I turned around, little moments reminded me of how loved Andrea and Chris are by everyone around them. You can’t help but love these two immensely!
As the evening carried on, Kyle and I took a little break to back up photos and video before grabbing our cameras for the NYE countdown and final moments of the night. Oh, and we can’t forget the pitstop for a slice of pizza to bring Andrea and Chris back to the roots of how they met. All in all, this was the most amazing New Year’s Eve wedding day at Chevy Chase Country Club. We’re forever grateful Andrea and Chris shared it with us.
